Mr. Lass serves as Vice President of DIGITALSPEC’s Public Sector Division and has over 35 years of Federal and Commercial experience. Prior to joining DSPEC he was Service Delivery Director, Information Technology Integrated Solutions at Computer Science Corporation (CSC). In this role he provided architecture design, acquisition, capacity planning, disaster recovery, data center operations, wide area network support, applications/systems development and project management services to the Federal and State Government agencies. Customers included: Department of Education, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and the Maryland Department of Transportation. Mr. Lass is skilled at assuming operational responsibility for accounts that are “troubled” and increasing customer satisfaction and service level performance, controlling costs and increasing revenue.
Prior to working for CSC, Mr. Lass spent 30+ years in the financial services industry with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance and Aetna. At Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance, Mr. Lass held a number of management positions of increasing responsibility in information technology, corporate support and human resources. These positions included responsibility and accountability for operational performance, facilities and capital planning, compensation, organization planning, personnel policies development, contract management, budgets and profit and loss.
At Aetna, Mr. Lass developed and marketed information technology services on a profit and loss basis to meet the needs of application development areas and the business customers including Aetna Retirement Services and Aeltus Investment Management. Mr. Lass reorganized a department that management declared “non functional” and in one year achieved a 92% customer satisfaction rating. Mr. Lass managed the relocation of 4000 users (including stock and bond trading rooms) in a 6-month time frame to a new location and a new network infrastructure with no impact to workflow and no loss of productivity.
He has established a reputation for his integrity, leadership, operational excellence, outstanding team building skills, strong customer relations and increasing profitability through effective cost control and increasing revenues.
Mr. Lass holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
